Goat Antibodies Targeting Human Immunoglobulin G

GAHG80 is a goat-derived secondary antibody raised against intact human immunoglobulins and purified by affinity chromatography to remove non-immunoglobulin serum proteins that contribute background binding in tissue and cell-based applications. It targets both heavy- and light-chain epitopes on IgG molecules, making it the broadest-coverage detection reagent for human IgG in standard immunoassay formats.

The antibody reacts with antigen-binding sites across the intact human IgG molecule, covering two antigen-binding sites per immunoglobulin unit. That coverage matters in western blot and flow cytometry applications, where partial chain-specific binding would reduce signal intensity and make quantification unreliable across the molecular weight range of human immunoglobulins.

Primary antibodies raised in human or humanized hosts are detected cleanly with GAHG80 in ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry workflows. For monoclonal antibody detection systems that require only Fc-mediated binding, Fc-specific formats offer tighter epitope specificity. Goat anti-mouse IgG and goat anti-rabbit IgG (H&L) provide species-matched secondary antibodies for mouse and rabbit primaries running in parallel channels.

Light chains shared among IgG subclasses are included in GAHG80’s binding profile, providing consistent detection across IgG1-IgG4 without subclass-specific titer variation. For Fc-region-only detection, goat anti-human IgG Fc provides the restricted epitope alternative. Research use only.
