Murine Serum for Preclinical and Lab Applications

Normal mouse serum is the acellular protein fraction isolated from murine whole blood after centrifugation and sterile filtration. It carries species-specific antibodies, immunoglobulins, and transport proteins that reflect the biochemical environment of the mouse model, making it the correct blocking and reference matrix for protocols running murine-derived detection systems.

As an antibody diluent and normal serum blocking reagent, normal mouse serum suppresses non-specific binding in immunoassay workflows where background from endogenous murine proteins would otherwise compromise signal clarity. It is supplied without preservatives to maintain protein activity in sensitive applications.

Equitech-Bio processes normal mouse serum under controlled conditions to screen for infectious agents and deliver consistent, lot-documented material. For extended storage, avoid repeated freezing and thawing of working stock. Repeated freezing degrades immunoglobulin integrity and reduces normal serum blocking performance over time. Aliquot on first use. If you need assistance selecting the right lot format, product documentation is available for each product on each listing.

For species-matched research panels, mouse serum works with mouse serum albumin, goat anti mouse, and mouse IgG antibody detection systems. Research use only.
